SPIN . . .

It's obvious to almost any intelligent person that Romney ate Obama's lunch in the debate Wednesday night, and it caught the so-called "main stream" media by surprise and put them in shock. Romney  wasn't the bumbling idiot they had hoped for.

Most of the day Thursday following the debate they were trying to figure out what went wrong. Even those who support Obama were asking themselves "what happened to him?" They began to give some excuses for Obama's shortcomings, but nothing sounded valid, just their "spin."

Now it's Friday and they have a new tone at the liberal "main stream;" they finally regrouped and all got on the same page, attacking Romney for all it's worth. They must have a liberal play book out there somewhere. The fact is, that most of us who have brains (which includes most people) aren't fooled by them.

Why can't we just stand back and look at both candidates objectively. We need to ask ourselves a few questions:

Where do the candidates stand on the issues that mean the most to our country? (getting the economy moving again and attacking our out of control national debt.)

Where do they stand on issues that are moral and decent? (for or against abortion and gay marriage.)

Where they stand on Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Where they stand on spreading of the wealth of those who have worked hard all their lives to those who have not.

Where they stand on keeping our national defenses strong in order to deter or even prevent aggression by others nations.

What is the political philosophy they espouse? Capitalism or maybe Socialism. Which is best for America?

Is more debt for this country and higher taxes and medical cost of interest to you?

Do you feel you owe allegiance to some particular political party, or are you a free thinker who votes for the best candidate for America and the future generations who will have to live with what we give them?

I think it's time we get serious about our future and that of our posterity. Do we care what happens to our children and grandchildren after we're gone? 

If our predecessors didn't care, we wouldn't have it so good, but they did care and blessed us with a great nation, praying that we could keep it.

Vote from what's in your heart. Give it serious thought. We're at a point that doesn't allow us to be careless with who we install in the highest office in the land. And think of this, usually whoever is elected for president will sweep in a large number of people of the same party into congress. Many people vote a straight Democrat or straight Republican ticket. I, personally, vote for the candidate that I believe will be best in each office (based on as much knowledge as I can find on each).

If we don't get it right, our posterity will have to suffer for our mistakes.

FANCY FOOTWORK!

DISTRACTIONS:

Don’t let the liberal’s fancy foot work fool you. Obama has a full staff of czars and others who spend their time creating confusion on the part of voters. Whatever his opposition does, they instantly spin it into something that distracts us from the real issues at hand. 

POLLS:

They do polls that always make them look like they are ahead. All they have to do is poll people they know are liberals, and ask the questions in a way to get the answers they are wanting. This is a tactic to manipulate people who like to be on the winning side to vote for Obama, because they believe the polls. 

FAILURE:

Obama doesn’t want to deal with his failures as president, they are too many. He has failed us on moral issues, such as, gays in the military, abortion, passing out contraception to teenagers in schools, and support of abortion through “Planned Parenthood,” at tax payer’s expense. That means WE are being forced to pay for the destruction of innocent lives. WHY? Why is Obama in favor of abortion? That is not a Christian trait. Real Christians are PRO-LIFE. Christ is PRO-LIFE. How can Christians be fooled by this?

He has failed to fulfill most of the promises he made when he was elected to office. He has failed to allow himself to be vetted, consequently, we have no proof of how he got a social security card from a state that he never lived in. That is illegal. The list is long, and most have heard it over and over, but no one has done much about it. Where are the checks and balances that our founders built into our Constitution? They have largely been IGNORED, to our peril. 

DANGER AHEAD:

If Obama gets elected for a second term, then I will be saying:  I TOLD YOU. We haven’t seen how bad he is, yet.  As soon as we pass the November election, we will begin to see what he  is really all about, whether he is re-elected or not. When he has nothing to lose by his actions, he will do all sorts of things that most people will be appalled by. His true connection to Islam will likely come out into the open. So many things will be thrust upon us and we will be almost powerless to do anything about. Dealing with issues through the courts will take a long time and will be difficult, because the courts are stacked with liberal judges. It will be hard to get suits heard in court. The result could be as serious as civil unrest and could bring this country down to a third-world status.

Obama does not want a successful America. He will say anything and do almost anything to get re-elected. It is more than just being in power, there is an agenda behind all he is doing that will destroy this country if not checked NOW.

RELIGION:

The liberals love to bring up Mitt Romney’s religion, which doesn’t have anything to do with being president. What is Obama’s religion? He will say he is a Christian, but his celebrations of Muslim “holy days,” indicates that he is really a Muslim. He has even stated it out of his own mouth. 

I pray that God will deliver us from the liberals and allow Godly principles to be applied to the governing process in America again.

GOD IS PRO-LIFE! !

How can anyone who claims to be a Christian vote for someone who is openly Pro-Abortion? It doesn’t square with the truth of the Bible. God is Pro-life; otherwise none of us would even exist. 

Our Constitution is Pro-life; “life,” liberty and the pursuit of happiness. 

So, for someone to be Pro-abortion, they are going against God and our Constitution which is founded on the principles found in God’s word.

The same is true concerning homosexuality. The Bible says it is sin. Why would a candidate who says that he is for “sin,” claim to be a Christian. Immorality is not a Christian characteristic. 

A person who is committing sin of any kind can be forgiven if he repents (turns away) and asks God to save him, through Jesus. One who does not repent and receive the free gift of God, which is, eternal life through Christ Jesus, will not have everlasting life. It’s as simple as that. "The wages of sin is death." Eternal separation from God.

So many people in this nation have gotten so secularized that they have turned their attention away from God to pursue their lusts for things and acts that are an abomination to the God who made life possible for them. Even many Christians fall into this trap.

America needs an awakening in the hearts of her people and a return to the God of the Bible that our ancestors believed in. That is what this country was founded upon. This is the greatest nation in the world; only because of the divine blessings of a benevolent God. Our pledge of allegiance declares that we are “ONE NATION UNDER GOD,” but can that be true if we continue to ignore Him. 

When we get into a crisis, most people will pray; but are we thankful every day for all the great pleasures we have, or do we just take them for granted?

Imagine what your response would be to an ungrateful crowd of people if you had blessed them so abundantly and yet they used your name as a by-word and acted as if you didn’t exist.

We need to humble ourselves and pray and seek God’s face and turn from our wicked way, then, He will hear from heaven and forgive our sins and HEAL our LAND.

Without God’s favor and His intervention, four more years like the last four will take us so far down toward socialism that we may NEVER be able to recover. We can’t continue with a “president” who does almost NOTHING that is GOOD.

Politics

The following is a direct quote from Paul Ryan’s speech on September 14^th, 2012.

“It is true that President Obama had a lot of problems not of his own making. But he also came in with one-party rule, and the chance to do everything of his own choosing. The Obama economic agenda failed, not because it was stopped, but because it was passed.

And here is what we got: Prolonged joblessness across the country. 

Twenty-three million Americans struggling to find work.

Family income in decline. 

Fifteen percent of Americans living in poverty.”

What America needs NOW is leaders who can bring us out of the massive debt that Obama has gotten us into in his almost four years in office. We do not need to give him four more, unless we don’t  care what happens to America. Voting for a candidate just for the government handouts is insane; the government is us.

The Democrats’ TV advertisements are full of lies and half-truths, spun in an attempt to make Romney look bad. Personally, I’m tired of his same old song and dance with horrible end results. We need leaders who are not for the slaughter of babies. Planned Parenthood should have been shutdown many years ago. Congress can de-fund them whenever they decide we have had enough destruction of the helpless unborn. To have ever let this happen is a disgrace; to continue it is an abomination.

Let’s pray and vote this crowd out of office and give a fresh team the opportunity to turn us around.

FRESHNESS

We have all observed the consistent actions of President Obama and are accustomed to what direction he will go on each issue. He is way off course from what the majority of Americans want. Some of it is so “out of sight” that we find it hard to believe. So my mind has been made up for a long time on which way I will vote.

I will not vote for so called “pro-choice.” To kill is not a choice that anyone should be for. 

I will not vote for so called “gay-rights.” Gays already have the same rights as all of us; Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I will not vote for anyone who is against America and wants to take us down; reduce our ability to defend this nation, tax us into poverty, make America devoid of faith in God, remove every mention of God from public places, etc. This is the work of fools according to the Scripture: “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.”

I will not vote for anyone who says one thing just to get elected and then does another after he is securely in office. I have always been taught that, that was the definition of lying.

Politics has become a dirty business, full of phony promises, accusations, bribes and all kinds of chicanery. It doesn’t have to be that way, however, there those who will tell the truth and follow through on what they promise. Conservatives seem to be more reliable in being honest with their constituents.

I have been watching the main speeches at the Republican convention this week and I am enjoying the FRESHNESS of all the speakers. It feels like getting back to the moral ideas of my early years, which have been so eroded away. I love honesty, integrity and straight talk; no spin and no bologna. Just tell the truth and if you make a promise, keep it at all cost. If you don’t intend to keep a promise, don’t make it.

I don’t think we will watch much of the Democrat convention this time; we really know what to expect; the same old deception and spin that they are famous for. We don’t need that. I’m tired of Obama taking credit for things he didn’t do and blaming the former administration (from four years ago) for everything bad.

Please consider what your vote means. It can change the entire direction of our nation. Each vote is important, as it can be the deciding vote. Never think, “my vote doesn’t really matter.” If we all did that, think how we could end up, in dire straits.

We’re too far off course already; we need fresh people in our government to bring some sanity and to replace those who have sold out to the establishment; compromising to line their own pockets or to keep their position. 

Many voters in the election four years ago voted a straight ticket. So when they cast their vote for Obama, they were also voting for all the other Democrats for other offices. Sometime is is better to go one office at a time and pick the one who you believe will do the best job.

Don’t forget the most important thing of all; PRAY for God to give us the leaders He wants us to have. He sees the whole picture and has the ability to bless this nation. He can supply all our needs and lead us in the way we should go; the end of which is joy and peace.

A PROVERB FOR AMERICA

My wife read this proverb to me first thing this morning and I feel it should be shared with everyone.

(For those who have said: The Bible is not appropriate or doesn’t apply to this modern age; if you have the slightest desire to lead a meaningful life and to understand what the Bible is really about; read this proverb all the way through and you will see that the insight and wisdom of Solomon still applies today.)

MY SON, if you will receive my words and treasure up my commandments within you, Making your ear attentive to skillful and godly Wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding [applying all your powers to the quest for it]; Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, If you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures, Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of [our omniscient] God.

Because this scripture is old testament, I need to add: All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but Jesus brought forgiveness for our sins so that any who repent and come to Him can gain eternal life through Him.

Hot Summer does not prove Global Warming Claims

I just heard on TV that this is the hottest summer in a hundred years. The truth is that it is the hottest in 94 years. Even that does not mean that it has broken a record for the hottest summer. 94 years ago, in 1918, it was the hottest summer on record and still is. There were few recordings of temperatures in the 1800s, so there is nothing to compare with, however, the temperatures in 1918 were well recorded.

Another hot summer was 1936 and the winter that followed was the coldest. Again in the 1950s it was very hot. And it those days, we had no air conditioning. Imagine that! And we survived it.

What we are experiencing now is not "man-made," but the cycles that the earth goes through, naturally. However, there are those who latch on to every so-called "crisis" to make it look like man is destroying the earth.

If natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, volcano, tsunamis, forest fires, earthquakes, etc. can't destroy the earth, what is mere man that anyone would think we could do it.

Every year there are many natural disasters. Forest fires release more hydrocarbons than all the automobiles on earth, and they have occurred for thousands of years. The earth recovers and replenishes, by design; it is made to heal itself. The same is true when volcanoes occur; remember the Mount St. Helens eruption in 1980, or if you're not old enough to remember it, Google it and read about it. It was considered a major eruption. That area has now mostly recovered and the soil is richer than before and growing crops again.

Don't let environmentalists fool you into believing their phony schemes. It's a major power-grab. They want control and they'll stoop to anything to achieve it.

On the political side:

These days, I don't believe anything the liberals say on their smear ads against the conservative candidate. Here again, we are dealing with unscrupulous people who want to always be in control and drag this country down to socialism. Tax and spend and spend and tax.

If you are conservative like me, make it the highest priority to vote in November.

CONCERNED FOR THIS COUNTRY

For a long time I have thought about what it would be like to have Barack Hussein Obama re-elected in this country. For the last two weeks I have had grave concern about this.

His first four years have been worse than a disaster, yet I hear people that I consider perfectly sane and coherent voicing hope that he will be re-elected. I fear for this country if indeed he stays in office for another term. Why is it that I can see where he is headed with this country, but others don't have a clue?

There are so many issues with him that I hardly know where to start. The greatest fear I have is for our children and grandchildren.

The freedoms we have enjoyed in America for so many years are eroding away and many citizens are just going along with whatever Obama does as if we haven't the power in our constitution to do anything about it.
He bypasses congress on anything that he wants to do, that he can't get even the Democrat-controlled Senate to pass, yet our congressmen sit on their hands and don't do anything to intervene.

There are a lot of Senators and Representatives that need to be sent packing. We can do that in November, and if we will; if conservatives and especially Christian conservatives will vote, we can end this reign of terror and get back to sanity in this nation.

Don't believe the polls that are frequently quoted on TV, radio and newspapers, they vary all over the place. Pew research seems to be the worst, always showing Obama on top, Rasmussen seems to be the most accurate of the three major services, but the election can go very different to what they report in the polls.

Pray for the results that God wants in this election. He can see things that we cannot and, of course, we want His will to be done.

CHRISTIAN DUTY TO VOTE!

 

If you believe in the Creator of the universe, the one and only true God who came to earth in the person of Jesus, then there are certain givens that should guide you when you cast your ballot in November. It is not only a privilege, but our duty to vote.

First, God is the creator of everything, which includes human life. Every life is precious to God, and to terminate the life of the unborn is abominable to Him. Those who promote abortion are against God and should not be in our government. Many of our founders believed that a person must be a Christian to properly serve as president of this nation. How do you know if someone is a Christian? It is “by their actions” (fruits).

Secondly, God desires that we be moral, upright, and honorable, not seeking our own way for personal gain and pleasure, but following His precepts of love toward our fellow man. If we continue to depart from our faith in God, this country is doom to failure.

When anyone wants to “rule” others, he is not following God, but his own selfish desires. That’s why our founders gave us a Constitution that gives limited powers to president, congress and legislature (although these constitutional restraints have been largely trample upon by this president, claiming executive privilege). This is a travesty. If he is re-elected, he may declare himself “king” in the next four years.

We need to get back to the Constitution and stick closely to everything in it. Clearly, this president isn’t doing that.

So as I see it, we need to elect a new president as the first step toward moving back to a proper constitutional government. We need to pass the “balanced budget” amendment and never violate it again. We must become fiscally responsible to maintain our position in the world. We must strengthen our military, not weaken it; “peace through strength.” This doesn’t mean we jump into every conflict that arises between nations of the world; they should handle their own struggles.

We need a missile defense system to maintain the peace. This president wants to do away with defense completely. Why? Did you ever ask yourself why? He is following the Saul Alinsky model to change America into a Communist/Socialist nation. Everyone will then be equally poor except the rulers who will be rich.We will be driving around in little tin boxes with wheels that run off of who-knows-what for fuel. 

By-the-way, they'll want us all to bow to a king.
