Where Does America go from Here?

Events are happening so quickly in the world today that it's hard to keep up with them. It's difficult to understand where we might be in the next few years. Morality has been so eroded that it's disgusting to turn on the TV even to surf through the channels. If you pause long enough to hear the sound, 90 percent of the time you will hear something that is suggestive or out right open about sexual immorality, contraception, birth control etc., and they make it sound like all variations are normal. Is this what people in this great nation are really wanting? It is possible to have clean entertainment without all these innuendos?

We still call this a Christian nation, but I guess the definition of Christian would have to be watered down a lot today. What is a Christian? In the Bible, it's someone who has surrendered his life to Jesus and is walking in His precepts. There is little room for variations with an absolute God if you are, indeed, surrendered to Him.

Being pro-abortion is not acceptable, since that is killing of an innocent human being, and is prohibited by God. Man can legislate all kinds of morality changes, but ultimately we have to answer to God. He is infinitely more important than anyone on this earth, and all will have to answer to Him. We should do NOTHING that will jeopardize our eternal destiny.

When we vote for someone who is openly in opposition to God and His precepts, we are putting ourselves in danger. When we see the government as our "cash-cow," and try to get all the support we can from it, we are not measuring up. If we are able-bodied and can find work, we should be earning our own way and supplying the needs of our family. If we are blessed with abundance we should be willing to help others who are less fortunate. This is not "spreading the wealth around," it is willingly sharing with others in Christ's name.

In the future, the best place to put our confidence is in God, not the government. The government can fail, God never fails.

Blessing!
