It seems that every day of my life I become more convinced that American society is more depraved than the day before. I never watch anything on TV except Christian programs or news broadcasts, and all the network news is all so obviously biased strongly to the Liberal side, so I despise that. The strange thing about that is they are so brazen about it and yet they condemn anyone who is stating the conservative view. This country was founded on the conservative view, so the Liberal media is obviously against conservatives. Why would we want to watch that?
We may not have much to do with who the conservative (or in this case, Republican) candidate will be (since it is pretty much decided), but whoever it is will be a much better choice that the Democrat candidate. We’ve had four horrendous years of “fundamentally changing America,” and we probably couldn’t survive four more.
Do we want to be fascist, with a dictator, or communist, with a politburo? May it never be. God grant that the shining city, set on a hill, America the beautiful, may not fall, but that she may be RENEWED in her relationship to our God, and again stand strong as a beacon of righteousness for the world to emulate.
If the God fearing people of America do not go to their knees in repentance for all that is allowed to transpire in this country, God has no obligation, according to His word, to uphold us and we are left to our own devices, which will ultimately fail.
Do we want to become a third world country, which cannot sustain our own people, much less help other nations in need as we do today?
This country has already become a nanny-state where most of the people are depending on the “government” to sustain them. SSI checks are the only source of income for many able-bodied people. Some of them are having trouble getting a job even when they earnestly desire one; others don’t want a job and wouldn’t take one if you offered it to them, but wait for the government check to come. This is unsustainable. When we tip beyond the point where there are more taking than there are paying in, we will collapse. We are getting close to that point.
Our only real answer is to turn to God in earnest repentance and surrender to Jesus Christ for salvation asking Him for wisdom to rebuild the America that our politicians have broken down by their greed and mishandling of America’s resources.
This is a serious matter, not to be postponed, or worse, ignored.
